Small Steps – Big Changes

11.04.2025

In 2024, we calculated our carbon footprint for the first time,

using Global Warming Potential (GWP, Scope 1, 2, and 3) factors according to the guidelines of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The calculation showed a carbon footprint (Scope 1 and 2) of 990 t CO₂-Eq. We will strive to reduce this value as much as possible in the coming years through various measures and by further adapting our supply chain. Our goal is to be as sustainable as possible, which is why we handle resources and energy carefully. We systematically monitor energy sources in our information system; for heat energy production, we use waste wood (biomass) from our own production; approximately 25% of our required electricity is produced by our own solar power plant; excess heat from compressor stations is used for the heating needs of the kitchen and dining room; and the entire company is equipped with smart lighting. Small, perhaps seemingly insignificant measures also contribute to this, further confirming our commitment to a careful and responsible attitude towards all resources.
